68th Swiftsure International Yacht Race

The evening of Saturday, May 28th found me behind the bar at the 68th Swiftsure International Yacht Race. The Swiftsure Yacht Race is the Pacific Northwest’s Premiere Yacht Race and it has been drawing the best racers to Victoria since 1930. Multiple races happen over the course of 4 days; over night and day races challenge the best sailors as the sea is always unpredictable.
From behind the bar I got to enjoy the sweet sound of a local band performing, while making memorable mojitos, and other delectable drinks for the sailors and guests. There was dancing, chatting, and a solid jovial feeling in the tent that night; which makes everything that much more enjoyable.
This is a very well organized and established event that draws a crowd of all ages; I will definitely be working this event again next year!
